Support for a Different Brain

Neurodivergent-affirming Counselling for Women, Young Adults, and Families

YOUR STRENGTH

Has Been There All Along

Whether you're navigating life transitions, stress, overwhelm, life with autism, ADHD, parenting challenges, or simply feeling stuck, counselling can provide space to slow down, reflect, and find a way forward.

My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and better equipped for everyday life. Together, we'll explore what's getting in the way, build practical strategies that fit your unique situation, and identify strengths you may not even realize you have.

You deserve support that meets you where you are and helps you move toward where you'd like to be.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Patricia Ward

I help neurodivergent women, young adults, and families who feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or lost in this linear world.

Over the years, I've worked alongside children, youth, adults, and families in schools, community organizations, disability services, family support programs, and crisis settings. I also bring lived experience as both a neurodivergent individual and the parent of two autistic young adults.

My clients tell me they appreciate my ability to build genuine relationships, create a sense of safety, and meet them without judgment. My approach is practical, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel understood.

I offer virtual counselling and limited community-based support for clients in Manitoba.

COUNSELLING THAT IS

Tailored For How Your Brain Works

I work with neurodivergent women who may be experiencing overwhelm, stress, emotional regulation challenges, school or workplace difficulties, or feelings of being misunderstood.

My goal is to create a safe, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming space where clients can explore challenges, identify strengths, and develop practical strategies that support their daily lives.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and individualized. I support clients in building self-understanding, emotional regulation skills, confidence, and resilience while honoring their unique experiences and ways of being. I recognize that effective support is not one-size-fits-all and strive to adapt services to meet each person's needs.

I provide virtual counselling as well as community-based support in homes, schools, and vocational settings when appropriate. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, family systems principles, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
